Harpoon Helles Blond Bock

Not a style of beer I drink very often, most likely since it’s a beer that highlights malt over hops but this one is very tasty. You wouldn’t guess the 7.7% abv. It’s main effect is to give me Gordon Biersch nostalgia.

Bonus marks for identifying the other style of beer in shot.

Stone Levitation Ale

Stone’s fantastic Levitation Ale is their version of a session beer. It’s similar in many ways to an English special bitter except with a big hop character. Not overly bitter though some might find it too hoppy for a session. Not me though. Goes well with pork scratchings too.

Warsteiner

A German Pilsener. Tasty enough but not a patch on proper Czech Pilseners. Still, it will always hold sentimental appeal as it’s the beer I drank on my first date with Ealish. I suppose I’m supposed to remember what she wore but I remember what I beer I had 😉
